bottle gourd (Ghiya)

Ghiya is the North Indian regional name for bottle gourd, a highly versatile and nutritious green vegetable widely cultivated across the Indian subcontinent. Depending on where you are in India, it is also frequently referred to as lauki, doodhi, or sorakaya. It characteristically features a light-green outer skin, a spongy white inner flesh, and soft, chewable seeds.
